Rosalie Trail
The Rosalie Trail offers a variety of terrain and scenery. The trail is mostly through a dense and lush Colorado forest that is watered by numerous creeks your dog will enjoy. Views are spectacular and include the southwestern slope of Mount Bierstadt and the glacial cirque on the south side of Mount Evans. The trail snakes along the base of Mount Bierstadt and Mount Evans, two of the four Fourteeners in the Front Range. Several stretches of the trail are above timberline. The Guanella Pass area is notorious for sudden, intense afternoon thunderstorms, hence the lushness of the forest. This weather pattern also affects hikers, particularly when they are hiking above timberline. Because the trail is almost entirely in designated wilderness, wilderness regulations apply and your dogmust remain on a leash.
