North Walton Peak Trail
This bumpy dirt road to the top of North Walton Peak can be hiked or mountain biked. It is more fun on a mountain bike since it is a good two-track road with a good gravel-and-dirt surface. It is a relatively easy, gradual climb through the rolling hills, aspen groves, and beautiful meadows of Rabbit Ears Pass. At the top you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the Continental Divide and the famous Rabbit Ears to the east. You might encounter a vehicle, so be watchful when rounding curves. The winter trails are overgrown, so bushwhacking is the only summertime alternative to the road.
