McQuaid Trail (#631)
This trail isn’t as comely as the Salt Creek or French Pass trails, but it’s easier to access, has pleasing scenery, and is an easier hike. It roller coasters gently through the eastern foothills of the Buffalo Peaks with nice foothills views, crosses interesting streambeds, and winds through a fairly open and sunny mixed lodgepole, ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, and quaking aspen forest.
