Colorado Trail: West Branch
Kenosha Pass is a splendid location for gazing down upon the unique high country plains of South Park and the soaring mountains that surround and majestically frame it. The Colorado Trail is accessible from Kenosha Pass, and you get the benefits of starting off at 10,000 feet. Superb views of South Park and the 14,000-foot peaks of the Mosquito Range are just off-trail. It is very popular with both mountain bikers and hikers. You can choose short, easy family hikes or more ambitious treks. It is often not clear of snow and dried out until mid- to late June in heavy snow years.
