Castlewood Canyon State Park: Inner Canyon Loop Trail
Castlewood Canyon is the northernmost portion of the Black Forest. Largely surrounded by grassland, the canyon is home to dam ruins. The Inner Canyon Loop takes hikers through a lush corridor where ponderosa pines thrive along Cherry Creek as it flows to Denver. There are 12 miles of hiking trails in Castlewood Canyon State Park, including the handicap accessible Canyon View Nature Trail.
