Calypso Orchid Nature Trail
A botany lover’s delight, this easy loop trail is located on the campus of University of Alaska–Fairbanks on a knoll above the extensive Georgeson Botanical Garden. The Calypso Orchid Nature Trail is known for a spectacular spring orchid bloom, when the rare and delicate flowers shoot from the mossy forest floor. Allow plenty of time to read the interpretive signs at any time of year.
