About Therm-a-Rest

In 1971, two former Boeing engineers found themselves needing a project. The avid backpackers soon set to work designing solutions for the poor nights’ sleep they often experienced on their treks—and the Therm-a-Rest brand was born.

Seattle-based Therm-a-Rest introduced the world’s first self-inflating sleeping pad, thanks to cutting-edge materials and design innovations (think memory foam with an airtight fabric cover and valve).
