Hands-on Bike Maintenance: Cleaning & Detailing

Description: Bring your own bike and learn through a combination of hands-on work and demonstrations about cleaning and detailing your bike including the drive train, frame, hubs and wheels. This is a hands-on bike maintenance class with guidance from an REI Bike Specialist. This class will be held outdoors adjacent to the REI store, plan accordingly. Bikes must be in good working order to be used during the class. If your bike does not meet standards you may still attend the clinic. However, you may be asked not to work on your bike. Register early, class size is limited.

Skills you'll learn:

  • Learn best practices for cleaning your bike
  • Learn how to properly clean your drivetrain, frame, hubs, and wheels
  • Learn how to properly clean your bike taking into account environmental concerns

Required Legal Form:
This course requires the participant to read and sign a liability release form before participating. Please see "Required Legal Form" for the session you are registering for. You will need to print, sign and bring the form to your class.
