Rock Climbing & Yoga
Description: Put together the strength and grace of rock climbing with the peace and serenity of Yoga in this REI Nature's Gym outing. Your instructor will join the two activities to provide a unique way to challenge your mind and body. We will start with a warm-up Yoga session keying on poses targeted towards climbing that will help build your balance, strength, endurance and meditation followed up by a session of rock climbing instruction and practice. Our Yoga for Outdoor Fitness class is highly recommended prior to participation in this class. No previous rock climbing experience necessary.
Skills you'll learn:
- Learn how to Incorporate Yoga into a climbing outing
- Review and develop basic climbing foot, hand, and body positioning
- Practice personal climbing movement
