About Cannondale

Cannondale began as a small camping equipment company in Connecticut in the 1970s. Its founder, Joe Montgomery, moved into cycling products when he created the first bike trailer for children, changing the lives of cycling parents of small children. By the early ‘80s, Cannondale had changed its focus to cycling products.

Cannondale’s first bike model in 1983 featured an aluminum frame with oversized tubing which offered exceptional durability for much less weight than the standard steel frames of the day.

Today, men and women cyclists have a bevy of top-quality Cannondale bikes to choose from: hard tail and full-suspension mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, commuter bikes, recreation bikes and road bikes. Some Cannondale road bikes feature lightweight carbon frames for added performance.

Cannondale also offers a full line of cycling clothing for men and women. Cycling clothing includes jerseys, vests and jackets plus shorts and tights for both road and mountain biking. Cycling accessories like arm warmers, leg warmers, bike gloves and shoe covers round out the selection.
