Apostle Islands Kayaking
The Apostle Islands, considered the jewels of Lake Superior, are a quintessential kayaking destination of the US. With eighty percent of the lakeshore being designated as federally protected wilderness, the Apostle Islands are ideally explored by water and offer something for everyone. From one of the largest and finest collection of lighthouses in the country to the splendid sea caves influenced by magnificent Lake Superior, this area is a wealth of cultural, historical and natural marvels. In addition, being sheltered from larger seas and surf of the outer islands, the Apostles create an ideal environment for the active beginner paddler. Join us for an ideal opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful regions of the country and experience the wonders of Lake Superior shorelines!

Comments about REI Adventures Apostle Islands Kayaking:
I have always wanted to paddle the Apostle Islands and this was an excellent way to do that! The weather was superb for this area. The guides were very good with the entire group and good cooks! We were lucky to have a fairly equally matched group.
The only disappointment was that due to the holiday weekend, we did not follow the advertised itinerary and it made for a less interesting 1st paddling day and missing some additional sea caves. That's the only reason that I gave it a 4 vs. 5.
