A hike through the Cinque Terre—five tiny, brightly-colored fishing villages perched on cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea—is only one of many highlights on our hiking adventure that spans some of the most dramatic and breathtaking coastal scenery in all of Italy.
From Florence to Siena, we'll see the finest expressions of Renaissance culture, and hike in beautiful areas of countryside beloved by local Tuscans.
From Pienza to Siena, we cycle through the lovley landscapes of Val d'Orcia, Val di Chiana, Crete Senesi, and Chianti which inspired great works of Renaissance art. Backcountry roads and rolling hills of vineyards, olive groves, and sunflowers lead us to the finest hilltowns in Tuscany where we experience delicious food, fine wine, and traditional culture.
Following the Via Francigena, an ancient pilgrimage route from Assisi to Rome whose origins date back over 1000 years, our new hiking adventure winds through some of the most picturesque landscapes and historic hill-towns in central Italy.
On our new Southern Italy hiking odyssey, we'll explore some of this vibrant country's most dramatic landscapes including the spectacular Amalfi Coast, the Aeolian Islands and Sicily's Mt. Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Throughout our adventure, we'll enjoy varied and delicious local cuisine and spend our evenings in the comfort of small hotels.
