Took a couple hikes to get used to the cork grips. If I ever need another pair would get foam grips. But used them to hike for miles in Yosemite and they are strong and kept me from a number of falls. Caught them in rocks and they did not bend. Supported my full weight when I fell through snow to my waist. Will never hike without them. I like the twist grip and they did not slip.

Man.. I used to think all those people on the trail with these were just plain goofy. Well, I am now a believer. These might not be the best out there, but they do the trick for a good price.
